"Possibility"

She had diamonds in her eyes,

a fire in her heart,

and her soul was the song

of a lark on a breezy spring morning.

She saw a billion different horizons

In her future.

She knew there would be storms along the way.

Terrible winds and pouring rain

That would wash away

Everything she was now.

But beyond each storm

She saw a new morning.

Another sunrise

Where she would wake up

And breathe.

She promised herself she would do more than survive these storms.

She would thrive.

She saw entire worlds within her grasp.

“Someday worlds” ripe with all the things that she would become

And so much more possibility than she could even begin to grasp.

She saw starshine and moonlight and the inky abyss of nothing and everything

That lay at her fingertips.

And she knew

Beyond a doubt

That anything was possible.

So she took one step.

And then another

And embraced the void before her

Welcoming the change

Within

And without,

Excited to see where the journey would lead her to next.
